API offers an extensive selection of light-weight, top quality bags. All of API’s bags are made using an innovative co-extrusion process. API has multiple plants worldwide, giving the flexibility and efficiency you require. Co-XXtra® combines the superior appearance and feel of low-density polyethylene bags with the strength and durability of high-density polyethylene bags.
Touch N Go® bags incorporate the latest improvements to help your front-end operation run quickly and smoothly. Each bag is designed to self-open when the preceding bag is filled and removed. This will help keep your checkout lines moving swiftly.

Environmentally Friendly

API’s bags reduce the weight of traditional containers by three quarters. Plastic is waterproof and approximately 150% stronger than paper. Plastic bags also help reduce depletion of our forests, preserving the beauty of our landscape and maintaining the quality of our atmosphere. The manufacturing process of plastic bags uses about half the amount of energy needed to manufacture paper bags, and recycling of plastic bags requires only about 2% as much energy as new manufacture. Clearly, plastic is an energy efficient alternative to paper. And, when disposed of properly, plastic bags are non-toxic and take up an estimated 6.5% of space in municipal landfills compared to paper which consumes approximately 41%. In waste to energy recycling, plastic gives off almost 2 times the energy of coal.

Color Process Printing

Now you can get brilliantly colored images on your company’s
T-shirt grocery bags. Color Process Printing is the ultimate choice in flexographic process printing and API is the only company to use it on T-shirt bags. This technique uses four separate print stations to blend yellow, magenta, cyan and black to produce colorful logos, illustrations or photographs. Choose our High Density or Co-XXtra® T-shirt bags.

NCMEC Partnership

API has joined with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to help locate and recover missing children. At our company’s expense, photos of abducted and runaway children have been placed on our customers’ carryout grocery bags. This community-oriented program helped in the recovery of 33 children since its inception in 1998..
